About MoodKit
Made by A Two Lab.
Who makes MoodKit
MoodKit is made by A Two Lab, the team behind this site and the MoodKit blog. We built it for one question most mood trackers leave open: what actually drives your mood? MoodKit studies your own check-ins and tells you, plainly, which activities lift you up and which drag you down.
This MoodKit is not connected to the older CBT app of the same name by Thriveport.
What the app does
- One-tap check-ins: five moods, or your own with any emoji, label, and color
- Activity tags: 24 built-in, plus any custom ones you add
- An Impact Leaderboard that ranks your activities by their measured effect on your mood
- Self-experiments: try a habit for a week, or skip one, and get a verdict from your own data
- Apple Health sleep, exercise, and steps as mood factors (optional and off by default)
- Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and a Year in Pixels view of your whole year
MoodKit runs on iPhone and iPad.
What it won't do
MoodKit won't diagnose or treat anything. It will show you what your own data says. There is no AI: every insight is plain statistics computed on your device, so you can always see why MoodKit says what it says.
If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services. In the US, you can call or text 988.
Privacy and price
There is no account and no sign-up. Your mood entries stay on your device; optional iCloud sync goes to your own iCloud account. The app's analytics cover app usage and crashes only. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
MoodKit is free to download, and logging is free, always. Premium unlocks the deeper insight cards. You can try them free during the trial, then subscribe or pay once with the Lifetime option.
How we write the blog
- Facts, prices, and ratings are checked on the date shown in each article.
- We never invent hands-on testing.
- We say that we build MoodKit wherever we compare it, and we list its limits.
- Health articles are general information, not medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.
